Home made scones with a twist

I've been stuffing my face with these for 2 days.
Home made fruit scones topped with homemade cherry or mango compote and cream.
This was so good, it was the turn of the cherry one today. This gonna be a regular. Especially as the scone recipe is so basic. The compote is not as sweet as jam (or jelly as you call it) it's perfect.

I still have some of that cherry compot and scones in the fridge. With a whole new tub of very thick cream to pair it with... lucky me. This week is gonna be a special one for treats.
