Makara 211 Posted October 5, 2021 Me personally i am going to wait until any issues with the O/S have been ironed out and that i hear/see a steady stream of positive reviews first if you are interested you can download it from here https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows11
Captain Bill 392 Posted October 5, 2021 Just install it looks good A little note Some issues fixed in 11 but other things that worked in 10 is gone. Give it a 50% passing grade.
Merlin 2536 Posted October 5, 2021 I waited a long time before taking the W10 upgrade. When MS announced the free upgrade would be ending soon I took it. By then there had been a lot of beta done and a lot of bugs worked out. I was late taking the W8 upgrade too. So, yeah, I'll probably do the same this time. Heck, I'm just getting used to 10
splitinfinitive 198 Posted October 6, 2021 I'm still using Windows 7 on my PC, I have 10 on my laptop. I'm an "if it ain't broke don't fix it" man so will probably hold off until I buy a new device. (PC is overdue for relacement but I cannot find someone to build what I want).

carl.d 760 Posted October 9, 2021 I'm also running win7 but it's time for a change, so for Christmas I'm having a win 11 laptop, looking forward to it.
Rickkins 272 Posted February 23 Seems microsoft is intent on going to war with it's users again, a la win8 fiasco. Haven't got time for that nonsense...

Maya 297 Posted February 23 (edited) When they are talking about a Win12 already, when people even haven't tried Win 11, I think I stay with what I've got I heard some years back after 10 they would stop. Now 12? What a joke Edited February 23 by Maya
Maya 297 Posted February 23 (edited) It was posted at republicworld some days back. I guess that is what rickkings was talking about. Not for me thanks. I think they admit 11 is a fiasco, and they now start with 12 in March this year according a German site. "reports also mention that Windows12 will utilise the advancement Microsoft made in the direction of making Windows10X. However the authenticity of its sources is not known yet " Edited February 23 by Maya 2

Ridiculous system requirements, and now they wanna put a watermark on those systems that use a workaround. Merlin 2536 Posted February 23 Oops! I already "upgraded" to W11. I'm not having any problems so far (touch wood) but I don't understand what you're talking about watermarks on systems using workarounds. Can you explain that a little for me?

Briefly, there are some ways to get around some of the system requirements, but now they wanna put a watermark somewhere on the screen to point out that you are using 11 on a substandard(according to them) system. 1 1
